Oxfam Books & Music, Bedford St, Norwich, supports the Close the Door campaign against energy waste.

"Oxfam tries to tackle poverty around the world, and has realised that some of the poorest communities are being severely affected by climate change. There are already serious food shortages and flooding due to global warming which means that taking a responsible attitude to energy waste is a matter of urgency and links directly to saving lives overseas. In my own store in Norwich we have a variety of measures to keep our retail carbon footprint to a minimum, and closing our door while using heating is obviously important in this. I encourage other retailers to close their door whenever heating/cooling the shop as an important step in reducing energy consumption. It is easy, simple for all to see and makes a real difference."
