Participating retailers

Please support shops that support our campaign and keep their doors closed when running heating or air conditioning. Some of these retailers are unable to display our sticker.

If you find that they are wasting energy through an open door please speak to a shop assistant, or even better the manager, and contact us

National support

We are in discussions with a number of chain head offices, and these are starting to bear fruit. The following retailers have agreed to support Close the Door nationally by changing their policies.

Jaeger

Jaeger are leading the way. Having had their doors open, Caroline and Christine listened and have reversed their policy. Before Christmas 2007, an email went out from head office asking all stand alone stores in the country to keep doors closed.

"Jaeger has a policy with regards to store doors across the store estate which says they must be kept closed. This policy has been made in direct response to concerns from our customers and the Cambridge Close the Door campaign which reflects our desire to reduce our energy consumption and therefore reduce our carbon footprint. Jaeger is taking its environmental impact very seriously and it makes sense not only to provide our customers with a comfortable environment in which to shop but also stop the needless waste of energy by keeping doors open. We are mindful of our responsibilities to our customers and the environment and we are fully supportive of campaigns such as the Cambridge close the door campaign."
